our story
At Frontier Mushrooms, our mission is to grow healthy, wholesome food using low-impact, regenerative practices. We're committed to sustainable farming practices that protect the land for future generations. We believe that by supporting small-scale, regenerative agriculture, we can help build stronger and healthier communities. We re-use and repurpose building materials and equipment as much as possible, and purchase locally-grown inputs to support our community.

Land Acknowledgement
Frontier Mushrooms is located in Holstein, Ontario, in Grey County, home to the Anishinabek people of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, which includes the communities of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. Parts of Grey County also include traditional territory for the Six Nations of the Grand River, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat-Wyandot-Wyandotte people along with Metis.
We acknowledge with respect the history, spirituality, and culture of the Anishinaabe peoples on whose traditional territories we grow and whose ancestors signed Treaties 82, 45 ½ and 72 with our ancestors. We recognize also the Great Lakes Metis whose ancestors shared this land and these waters. May we all, as Treaty People, live with respect on this land, and live in peace and friendship with all of its diverse peoples.May we seek the Honourable Harvest, and never forget the connection between ourselves, our ancestors, the First Nations, and the land.
